Daniel Miller

Parish: St. Philomena, Peoria

Birthdate: September 8

Seminary: Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary: Entered 2024, Class of 2032

Why did you become a seminarian?
I have been blessed to attend Catholic school my entire life, and high school proved to be a particularly graced opportunity to begin deepening my faith. The Emmaus Days retreat after my sophomore year was the first time I felt God’s tug on my heart toward priesthood. Over the next few years, spending time in adoration and seeing the joy-filled lives of priests and seminarians strengthened this call. Although I would have never imagined myself to be at seminary right after high school, God, of course, had better plans.

What did you do before seminary?
I attended Peoria Notre Dame High School, where I was president of student council and a proud member of the track and cross country teams. I also had a part-time job as a cashier at the local Ace Hardware.

An interesting fact about you:
I enjoy getting outside and running, I was co-president of Lego Club at Peoria Notre Dame, and I share a birthday with the Blessed Mother.
