Antioch Group
At The Antioch Group their Christian world view allows them to work with people from an “open arms” perspective—rather than a perspective of “us versus them.”
As a group, they are committed to:
treating their clients with respect in a quiet, caring, and confidential environment
guiding people through the therapy experience as efficiently as possible, without sacrificing the quality of their recovery
providing their clients with quality after-care options to maximize their investment and to prevent recurrences
Some of their counseling and psychology specialties are depression, anxiety, autism, eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, marriage counseling, drug abuse and alcoholism, anger management, and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). See their Find A Therapist page for a complete list.
The Calix Society
The Calix Society aims at addressing the particular spiritual needs of Catholics recovering from alcohol addiction. It affiliates closely with Alcoholics Anonymous, and believes in the effectiveness of the twelve-step program, but focuses on enabling Catholics who may have abandoned or neglected their faith during active alcoholism to return and have the fellowship of other Catholics in recovery. It promotes total abstinence for those in recovery and is concerned with the spiritual development and the sanctification of the whole personality of its members. The organization's motto is "substituting the cup that stupifies for the cup that sanctifies".
