Birthdate: September 25
Seminary: Mundelein Seminary: Entered 2020, Class of 2026
Why did you become a seminarian?
I grew up Catholic and attended Catholic school through high school, but I fell away from the faith during my college years at Illinois State. While I attended Mass on Sundays and never lost my belief in the truth of the Catholic faith, I failed to live out my faith in any meaningful way. Upon entering graduate school in 2018, I sought to re-devote myself to my faith. Through spiritual and personal growth over the last few years, I felt God inviting me to consider a priestly vocation. In striving to follow His Will for me, I decided to enter seminary.
What did you do before seminary?
Before seminary, I had just completed my master’s degree in college student affairs at Eastern Illinois University. I’ve also been active as a Knights of Columbus brother, and serve as an alumni volunteer advisor for my fraternity, Sigma Pi.
An interesting fact about you:
Although I can’t claim to be anything special at it, I love cooking and baking. When I’m at home I’m always in the kitchen with my mom and sisters helping with dinner or making a new dessert. I love to make my own chili and banana bread, especially.
