#iGiveCatholic is a giving day event for the faithful from participating dioceses across the nation (and the world!) to unite and donate – both online and offline – to their favorite participating Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries. #iGiveCatholic presents an opportunity for Catholics to donate and support the organizations they are most passionate about on #GivingTuesday, and for our parishes, schools, and ministries to raise funds for capital improvements, their annual fund, or another project of their choosing.

#GivingTuesday is an annual day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and widely recognized Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping events, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

This year, #iGiveCatholic is on #GivingTuesday, November 29, from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM. An Advanced Giving Day phase for #iGiveCatholic begins at 12:00 AM on Monday, November 14, and runs right into #GivingTuesday. Credit card or ACH donations for the #iGiveCatholic campaign are given through the donate button on the profile page for each participating organization within iGiveCatholic.org. Offline donations of cash or check can be mailed or taken directly to the organization of the donor’s choice.

All 501(c)(3) Catholic parishes, schools, ministries, and other not-for-profit Catholic organizations affiliated with the Diocese of Peoria are invited to participate! Your set-up and participation fee was paid as a gift from the Diocese of Peoria.

Eligible organizations (parishes, schools, ministries) wishing to participate must apply for their organization to be part of #iGiveCatholic during the Registration Phase beginning August 15. Once your organization has applied to participate, you can begin setting up your #iGiveCatholic profile page with graphics, videos, and custom copy. More detailed instructions will follow about how to apply!

Ready-made branded and customizable marketing materials will be available for your use on the Resources page (under Menu) at https://www.igivecatholic.org/. The #iGiveCatholic platform will also provide how-to articles, two live training webinars (which will also be recorded for those who cannot attend), and a series of recorded webinars on the Trainings page (under Menu) to help you navigate the promotion and communication of the giving day.
