How can you help?
Catholic Charities has always had a mission focused on the Corporal Works of Mercy: to feed the hungry, to give drink to the thirsty, to shelter the homeless, to clothe the naked, to visit and ransom the captive, and to visit the sick.
Advocacy is also an important aspect of Catholic Charities mission. We serve other individuals, meeting them where they are at, fostering an awareness, speaking out, and encouraging others to do the same.
Catholic Charities is currently on the lookout for people (or groups) with time on their hands! It doesn’t matter if you have just a few hours to spare for a one-time project or are looking for a chance to help others every week, here’s how we can use your help:
Food Pantries: We currently have food pantries in Peoria operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Baby Pantry: Our baby pantry in Peoria is open on Tuesday afternoons, but we could use help all day.
