Cornerstone Centennial Celebration – Moline

Sacred Heart Church will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone with an outdoor Mass – weather permitting.  A re-enactment of the original ceremony, which was held on Oct 23, 1919, will follow.  The celebration will include a display of items recovered from a time capsule buried 100 years ago, as well as an extensive archives display.  There will also be music, games and inflatable houses for the children.  Food, commemorative items, and handmade quilted items from the Quilting Ministry will be available for purchase.
